I love a face mask as much as the next person, and when it comes to novelty, I’m all for it. Whether it’s scented solutions or printed patterns, I’ll take any excuse to sit back, wine in hand, and chill out for 30 minutes. Let’s be honest: Self-care + Skincare = Perfection!

Although I don’t need to be sold, for some there’s got to be a gimmick, and what better way to introduce skincare into more of our lives than combining it with some of our favourite TV and film characters? Yes – printed masks are all in, and Disney have teamed up with the folks at Mad Beauty for three lines of character face masks.

Covering a wide audience, the varieties include Disney Princesses, Iconic Villains, and Star Wars favourites – aka, something for everyone! And I have to say – they’re an absolute joy! Available separately or in a collected box set, each mask in the line caters to a different area of concern, with cleansing, exfoliating, and hydrating properties all part of the experience.

Let’s look at what you get. Each set consists of:

  • Princess: Ariel, Belle, Princess Jasmine, & Aurora
  • Villains: Cruella, Maleficent, Ursula
  • Star Wars: Chewbacca, Darth Vader, Yoda, & C3PO

I won’t go through all of the ingredients, as they’re pretty much the standard formulations you get from face masks – coconut, green tea, cucumber, rose, etc. And honestly, that’s not really what these masks are about – not should they be. The Mad Beauty X Disney crossover is about introducing people to skincare in a fun way, enabling them to try a face mask, be impressed by the results, and pay more attention to their skin going forward.

I’d personally buy any of these for myself, but they’re also 100% ideal for gifting. Whether it’s a single mask to accompany a thank you card or a fold-out set – which, by the way, are DIVINE – I can’t think of anyone who wouldn’t welcome these masks.

I’ll be working my way through the entire collection over the next couple of weeks, so be sure to follow my Instagram to keep up to date! And you can shop all of the masks by clicking on the images below!

I’ve seen Disney skincare stuff in Primark and possibly Boots or similar before, but hadn’t read any reviews or known whether they’d be any good or not. Quite tempted to give them a try, they’re quite cute! x

I definitely would! The Princess and Villain ones come in stunning, fold-out sleeves too…
